Calculation Methodology
- 1Select records from the dataset where the column
R65has values 1 or 2, indicating adults age 65 or older. - 2Use the column
HISPEEDto identify internet access:HISPEED=1means Have Access to High Speed Internet, and any other value means No Access to High Speed Internet. - 3Apply the weight column
WGTPto each record to account for survey sampling design. - 4Aggregate the weighted counts by the
STATEcolumn to calculate the share of adults age 65 or older with high-speed internet access in each state.
