Calculation Methodology

    Select records from the ACS dataset where AGEP is 65 or older.
  2. 2
    Identify individuals with high-speed internet access using the HISPEED column, where HISPEED = 1 indicates access.
  3. 3
    Use the ST column to assign each individual to a state.
  4. 4
    Apply the person weight PWGTP to each record to account for survey design.
  5. 5
    Calculate the weighted share of individuals aged 65 or older with high-speed internet access for each state using ST.
  6. 6
    Exclude records with missing or invalid values in AGEP, HISPEED, or ST from the analysis.
