HOUSEHOLD_OWNERSHIPto separate Homeowner with mortgage (HOUSEHOLD_OWNERSHIP=1), Homeowner, no mortgage (HOUSEHOLD_OWNERSHIP=2), and Renter (HOUSEHOLD_OWNERSHIP=3) groups. - 3Use
GRPIPandOCPIPcolumns to classify housing cost burden categories: Spending <30% Income, Spending 31%-49% Income, and Spending ≥50% Income, based on defined bins. - 4Apply the weight column
WGTPto weight each record for representativeness. - 5Aggregate weighted counts by
RACEcategories to create grouped data for each owner/renter status and housing cost burden category. - 6Present the distribution of housing cost burdens as a share of income among adults age 60 or older, grouped by race and owner/renter status.
