Melissa Martin

Melissa Martin is Executive Director of @HC65 at West Health, where she leads a national initiative focused on advancing technology-enabled care delivery. She oversees a portfolio that aligns health systems, technology initiatives, and implementation efforts to accelerate the adoption of solutions that improve access, experience, and outcomes at scale. Melissa brings experience across the healthcare ecosystem, including pharmaceutical companies, large health systems, federal healthcare, and healthcare consulting. She has led and supported large-scale enterprise electronic health record transformations and broader digital and system transformation initiatives across complex, multi-institution environments, working closely with clinical and executive leaders. Her work spans major EHR platforms, applied AI, and care delivery redesign, with a sustained focus on advancing technology-enabled care delivery through implementation at scale. Melissa holds a Master of Health Administration and began her career as a television news journalist. Her career trajectory shifted after her father was diagnosed with a rare disease and struggled to access the right medical information and healthcare professionals. Seeing firsthand the challenges of navigating the healthcare system - and the life-changing impact of reaching the right diagnosis and care team - proved to be a turning point for both her family and her professional path. Inspired by that experience, Melissa transitioned from journalism into healthcare with a commitment to improving the how care is accessed, delivered, and experienced, which now drives her work at West Health.
