Liane Wardlow

Liane Wardlow is Senior Director of Clinical Research at West Health Institute, a nonprofit research organization dedicated to enabling older adults to age in place with access to high-quality, affordable care. She leads a portfolio of national collaborations focused on developing and scaling care models that improve clinical outcomes and reduce costs, including the Northwestern Medicine–West Health Accelerator, a health system transformation initiative spanning 80+ clinics. Dr. Wardlow's research focuses on scalable models of integrated behavioral health, advance care planning, and home-based palliative care — with a particular emphasis on vulnerable populations in primary care and community settings, including Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). She has partnered with national stakeholders to translate this work into actionable policy and practice. A published researcher spanning telehealth policy and equity, Hospital at Home, emergency care for older adults, and cognitive psychology, her work has appeared in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, Psychonomic Bulletin & Review, and Psychological Science, among others. Dr. Wardlow holds a PhD and MS in Experimental Psychology from UC San Diego, an MS in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Southern CA, and a BA in Linguistics from UC Santa Cruz.
